Routine Maintenance Recommendations

  • Always rinse or soak your equipmment in clean, fresh water after each trip.
  • Air dry equipment after rinsing or soaking. If you notice excess salt deposits or mineral build up, rinse or soak again until equipment dries clean.
  • Rinse and drain the inside of your BCD with fresh water. We recommend using the inflator mouthpiece to add fresh water. If you remove a dump valve assembly instead, be sure not to lose any springs or washers.
  • Always keep the dust caps on your regulators when they are not on a cylider, and especially before rinsing or submerging. This includes the ingress/egress on your integrated regulator/inflator device if you have one.
  • Use only approved BCD and/or wetsuit detergents. Other harsh chemicals and cleaners can damage your gear.
  • Don't leave your equipment in the direct sunlight beyond the time it takes to dry. Store in a cool, dry place. Partially inflate your BCD while in storage if you can.
